I wonder how many Keyless Riders have ever actually tested whether their emergency key works properly? I decided to check mine out for the first time before going away on a trip, and was startled to find it didn't actually work at all. To cut a long story short, I eventually narrowed down the cause to interference from my aftermarket daylight running lights. I wonder how many other folk are unwittingly similarly afflicted?
In the end I decided not to do anything about it, realising that all I need to do if ever I need to use the emergency key in anger is just temporarily pull the fuse on the auxillary fusebox . But am very glad to have found out!
