I have tried the usual suspects, as in those who sell the shelf shocks, but none of them know who will refurb one. Sportsbike shop gave me the name of the importer, Performance Parts, and their phone number... they don't know either! They are going to ask Holland. My take on it is, if it has to go back to Baz, I might as well ride over and enjoy the experience - he can redo the forks at the same time.
Does any of the collective know anyone who does Hyperpro rebuilds over here, please? Is it such a specialist job than Maxtons couldn't do it (or whoever)?
The bike started out as an X Challenge, but it is a mishmash of all sorts based around an X Challenge is now more Country with big forks (Marzzochi from Aprilia Shiver, but Hyperpo'd) and 17" x 19" wheels, 20-odd litres of fuel, home made pannier frames, steel subframe....all sorts done to it. Mickey from Overland & Classic built it originally, but it was so long ago he can't remember anything about it, I did ask.
I am still riding it, even though there is NO damping in the rear whatsoever - I just put up with the bouncing! It would be nice to get it back as it should be though, so any help greatfully received.
