Alps Greatest Hits Tour......

So, just at my hotel for the night in La Clusaz.

A great day on the bike and a nice feeling knowing that the riding and the views just get better and better over the next three days.

Highlight of the day was riding up and over the Col du Berthiand and then having lunch sat alongside Lake Nantua.

Then a quick blast up to Col de La Colombiere for a coffee before heading to La Clusaz.

Perfect day for riding the bike with temps topping out at 26 C.

Tunes of the day were by Gilbert O’Sullivan. If Hippy wasn’t offgrid he would be so appreciative of such songwriting genius !

I stopped in Nantua last week in my motorhome on the Aire on the side of the lake. &#55357;&#56397; Got the e bike out and rode the 5 miles round it. Luvverly spot.

Looks like I’ve found a good eatery tonight , though to be fair last night’s calzone was excellent.

Ok, I guess the high viz slap head needs food pics . These will be the only ones all week I think as won’t be beaten .And the food may go downhill when the vegan asylum seeker gets with the program !!

Bistro Les 2 Mules in La Clusaz- just stunning . Three courses for €38.
No steak frites (shouted FRITZ) so look away now you Ibis Styles lot

Amuse bouche

Cheese croquette

Starter. Fried egg with smoked duck

Main. Filet mignon of veal

Dessert. Chocolate cake

All washed down with local red . Delish.

And then a choc truffle turns up

Arrived at my digs for the night. Circa 440 miles in one day, certainly makes you feel knackered.

Pics through the journey:

A tree, a field and some straw bales.

A cemetery in the middle of bloody nowhere. Certainly peaceful to rest. Until KTM 1290 roars by

No idea what it is, but I liked it, so I got a snap of it.

Weather was dreadful today

Found a house, liked it, might I migrate back to EU since racists voted out and got everybody confused in the process. :hide
