Garmin Express / Slow Download Map Update Speed @ 24 KB/s

Would you please kindly share your experiences when performing Garmin map updates?

A map update for my Garmin Zumo 350 has been running for two days and is only 8.2% complete. This is because the download speed from the Garmin server is extremely slow @ 24 KB/s.

Furthermore, I have yet to attempt an update for my BMW Motorrad Navigator 6 ready for my forthcoming road trip.

There is absolutely no issue whatsoever whenever accessing other websites; when downloading large movie files I achieve download speeds in excess @ 30 GB/s.

Moreover, the service provided by my ISP does not impose any daily nor monthly download limit cap. I have also performed independent checks; each concur there is absolutely no issue whatsoever with my fibre broadband.

Funnily enough I’m downloading latest nav 6 and similar in that it’s running at 1.7 MB/s when I have a tested download speed of 33MB/s so is that the Garmin server at fault. Cheers
