2010 speed sensor replacement

Good morning , my 2010 , Non abs , speed sensor has died.
If I replace it , with new or even second hand via motorworks, will it need coded to bike , and can I do that with gs911.
Or as I really hope , is it just mechanical swap. ?

You mean the one in rear drive hub? Done 2 on 1200GS and R Just plug and play.
