Trip report - Operation Clusterfuck

Hey Zx9

No, amazingly it’s lovely all the way.

I then drive to Wales where it pisses it down, but I’m in a hire car so that’s cool by me :)

On a good note at least you have good kit for both hot weather and wet
Last year I was on my way to Titises and can without dought say Klim kit works as it rained on me all the way from Dieppe

Talking of kit.......

If anyone cares.....

Spada Helnet. Brilliant. Better than my Arai

Klim Badlands. Brilliant.

Forma Boots. Old now but still bombproof.

Mechanic Light Gloves. Cheap, cheerful, I love them but I wouldn’t want to crash n them.

Spada Watrptoof Gloves. 19.99 and better than others I’ve had at 100 quid plus.

15 plate 1200 GSA LC. She eats up the miles and just asks you “is that all you got ?”

A few randoms.......

I use 2 x camera lens neoprene cases for an electrical bag and phone case. Cheap and brilliant.

I use a 4 x usb multi plug thing. Ideal for Scala, phone and camera simultaneously.

Anyone wanting kit advice, I’m no RTW god but I’ve developed some good kit habits over some long trips. Happy to share

Thanks for sharing the trip with me.

Thanks for sharing the write-ups.
As others have stated, love the humour, plus the quirky detail and perspective's.

I can never pass a Bel Vita bar now.

Sooooooo, wanna tell me the score on the famous fuel station then?
Not Herman Goering's Mum's corner shop then, shurely?? :D

It’s in a place calked Wankum.

It was always the last tax free fuel stop for people heading home from Germany and thus always had massive queues at Xmas as people waited to get their heavily discounted fuel via fuel tokens.

Happy days......

I don’t know if you know this valley but it’s a fab ride on the western bank.

I am guessing you are talking about Route 42? Perhaps you could highlight The Valley you referring to for fellow riders to make a note easier.

Chaaaars :beerjug

Blokey takes this pic for me and we set off. I recon they'll stop for any bikes broken down now...…..

Great write up by the way!

I mean Route 9 on the western bank.

The pic was of the armoured guy. That couple ended up staying at the same hotel awaiting rescue
