No(rton)stalgia ain't what it used to be or is it....?

Folk talk about the arse falling out of the classic bike/car market,
Fact remains, the big ticket bikes are sill selling, there certainly isn’t many Brough,Vincent original owners still riding,
So someone is paying big money.
Going back to more affordable machines,
I see a good few years before much changes.
I and others in there 50’s won’t be changing habits just yet:thumby:

I don’t think the arse will fall out of the market but I do think buyers will be a bit more discerning and want decent, well put together bikes with documentary proof of what they’re buying whether they’re 100% restorations or bikes built to suit the builders tastes.

That’s me in trouble then :blast

I came across this build the other day:

Sorry. Just seen link was previously posted.

Oh, nostalgia. When I was a teenager, a lad in our street in Fratton, Pompey, had a 750 Commando. I really wanted that bike. When he asked if I wanted to go pillion with him and my mum and dad said I could, I was in seventh heaven. This started my love affair with motorbikes. Sadly, I never bought one. But, just maybe...

I've developed an unreasonable desire to own an Interstate.

I need someone with more sense to show me the error of my ways.......

....unless you know where I can get a good 'un.

I had a 76/77 Norton 850 commando ( electric start ......that never did! )
I know a little bit about them
I'D NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER ONE, EVER EVER EVER .......
Does that help
The list of problems with the bike was so great and never ending........
Best move on :blast
Oh it was brand new back in the day !
