. Yes and no. I firmly believe that you have to assume the worst these days and that any changes carried out against an active policy will incur charges. I do, and occasionally at least, I'll get pleasantly surprisedWhat difference does that make, takes a couple of seconds while you are on the phone then they email you the paperwork
Guess if it's the sort of thing that riles you, just ask to be sent a copy of the t&cs before committing to the policy. Doesn't help if you've already taken it out but it may save you from future aggro...though IMHO they all do it so it'll involve a lot of shopping around!
