Service

1st annual and 6000 mile service carried out today at Williams in Manchester for a not too unreasonable £175. Their 20% discount for this week made a nice bonus :) They also have 30% of all stock clothing and accessories.

Had mine done this morning on my 1250gs, £245 at Bahnstormer Maidenhead including brake fluid

They said next year will be £450

Was that £245 for 1st annual service and 6000 miles? If it is, there is a big difference in dealer costs, as mine also included the brake fluid change. Before 20% discount, Williams cost was £216.

Yes 1st year, got bike on October 20th last year and 6k service, bike is on 6700. I guess it’s mainly down to higher labour rates

Yep, the RRP on parts including brake fluid is only about £95

Everything else is labour costs.

I'll be buying OEM quality parts next time (not BMW branded) and will get them trade price, so servicing now will only be about £50 for oil & filter changes... plus nominal charges for air filter, spark plugs etc.

Got the BMW Tools for valve and cam checks, so all set for a few years of cheap running costs, on a very nice bike.

Chester Motorrad .... 8,000 mile service at 3 years old, including FD oil change and MOT (included free) for a reasonable £185.
I'm certainly not complaining :thumb2
