A 40 minute documentary about the BMW Spandau factory.

It’s difficult to accept some of the quality issues we get on here with these manufacturing techniques......

Banging the bits together is not the problem generally. It's the bits they bang together (made in China etc) that cause the problems.

Don't the Germans have a motorcycle factory in Bologna? ;)

How true - I had it in the back of my mind that VAG were selling out, possibly to KTM/Bajaj/RE/HD as a means of helping to fund 'dieselgate'. Seemingly it was all rumour, allegedly, but I suspect they were just testing the waters.

They paid US$1.2 Bn for Ducati back in 2012 & must have invested significantly more since. The bids probably weren't high enough to make the deal fly.

Do you not realise its all part of a global conspiracy , German market bikes are built from premium parts in Spandau, UK bikes are knocked together out of any old sh*te in sweat shops in Bangladesh .

Must be true cos one of the voices in me heed told me it was .

Don'tthey have a factory in India?

I understand that it's just the GS310 which is made in India with all other models being made in Germany, with some engines made in Austria, some in China and some in Taiwan.
