I've just purchased a 2nd hand Navigator V and cradle, but my old 2002 GS does not have the associated plug in the wiring loom.

I'd rather not have to cut the plug off and wire directly into the loom but I cannot find the plug that is fitted to later bikes that this fits into.

Does anyone have any idea of the part number of the plug that is on the bike, or better yet where to get one in the UK?

I have tried Motorworks, Motobins, James Sherlock, and Nippy Normans already.

Thanks,

Steve

I'm assuming you mean the 3 wire cable and plug that comes from the headstock to the garmin mount.

It's there on my 2006 hex, as it's a dedicated accessory plug

it may be tucked back under the tank, mine was

Failing that just get the 3 wire repair loom from your local BMW service dept.

Go to a car place not bike, its cheaper, and way cheaper than NN or others its about £12 if i recall

Hmm, looks like I'll be cutting the plug off, just spoke to a main dealer and the plug kit, (which is the plug and some wires), costs £92, yes that's £92.

Just found that the ends of the Futaba servo leads I use for RC fit the little pins in the 3 pin plug.

I've just made up two leads that fit into the plug and filled it with silicon.

The other ends I'll just fit into a terminal block that the previous owner has already spliced into the loom.

Hopefully job done when the silicon hardens and I fit the cradle to the bike.

That's the same plug as the Navigator V, it's for fitting a non BMW GPS into the wiring of a newer bike like yours.

It's the one that fits that plug that I need.

This is the one I need, and that costs £92, (if the guy at the dealer has found the right thing that is).

I think he's having a laugh at your expense

So your saying you need the female version of that plug

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sh...25-BMW-R_1200_GS_10_0450,0460_&diagId=61_2485

ignore the model & year the repalir looms fit anything yours should be item 7 and thats showing $26 US

I can see it UK based for just under £7 but that site has a huge mark up for small item orders

Thanks for heads up, after some searching I found a page that explains it's the same as a BMW parking sensor so now on the search for one of those (968402)

They do not keep them in stock but I've asked how much etc.

but I'll keep looking elsewhere.

Just bought 2 for £10 from Ali Express, it'll take 20 to 40 days but I'll just use my Futaba lead in the meantime.
