BMW Connected App and GPX Route

Hi guys,

Just been paying with at the BMW Connected App, i'm of thinking of using it on my new 1250 for an upcoming NC500 trip. Ive download a GPX of a route I want to follow, and can load it up in the app (via dropbox), and see it all fine on the map. Then whenIi go and start the route, the app recalculates my route based on the selected criteria such as fastest, winding etc. I don't want it to calculate anything just follow the route I've imported. How do I get it to do this?

It's like it needs something like the Nav 6 option of don't recalculate when off route?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Satnav. Generally, a GPX file is a set of waypoints in order of how they will be visited. Nothing else. The "route" between the waypoints is up to whatever is interpreting the GPX file.

He’s right you know

Just add more waypoints, this will force the device you’re using to follow the route you want. Even the same units with the same gpx file will often take different roads between waypoints
