I acquired another airhead - a 1979 R100/7T it appears - with an aftermarket "S" fairing (it's got to go). Rode it home from Scotland & it appears that apart from a front fork overhaul & tracking down a wee oil leak or two (pushrod tubes?) not a lot wrong.
Apart from a general tidy up, current thinking is torn between fitting a "proper" BM cockpit fairing or switching to a standard touring seat with no fairing.
I'll take any advice as long as it accords with my fluctuating prejudices! :aidan

Nice one Gerry :beerjug:
Collecting Airheads is kinda addictive isn’t it

For what it’s worth - my choice would be the standard seat & no fairing, like she used to be...

If you like a bit protection Givi do a unobtrusive little screen, a A210? which looks and works better than the S type screen.
Motobins had them last time I looked.
If the seat is comfortable I would leave it, I don't particularly find the stock/7 seat suits me, and the PO might have founnd the same.
I put a Siebenrock foam and cover on my G/S and it is an improvement on stock, but matching them to your base to your base might be a problem.

Is that seat wrong?....... I had an R100T for a while and as far as I was aware it was mostly original, wrong mirrors.... and missing the clock and voltmeter pods, but otherwise standard and it came like this.
