Hankering after a Harley

That’s not nice. :(

Anyway It was only like that for a couple of days out of two weeks. :p

Meanwhile , bits are falling off my RKS!!!
Should I reject it as unfit for purpose ??
Found this in drive after I fiddled with the battery tender cable

Well you have had your fat fingers fumbling around it getting confused with the optimate lead so what do you expect? :p

Ok ta.Posts may haver crossed as posted a picture above showing it connects ok.

It’s still a bit short though !

Taken the sissy bar, rear rack and screen off .I do like the way it all comes off in seconds, though the left side lever of the rear rack is rather stiff.Do they loosen with use ?

I’ll get HD Jersey to have a look on first service.

Removing the sissy bar certainly exaggerates the depth of the Tallboy seat.Must say though that it is extremely comfy and transforms the riding position. The pillion pad is also much wider and thicker than the OE seat and I’m sure we’ll use this one when two-up.
But my Le Pera Maverick DL should be here next week so will see how that compares .It should blend in a tad more.

Just noticed the profile on that front tyre; almost sportsbike like; should imagine that will take some getting off and on; not like you'll be doing it tho.:D:beerjug:

I like it. Maybe you could Velcro a plate to the faired part in front of the pannier and create a picnic table to supplement the drinks holder......

The only thing right about that RK is the seat....

Congratulations to the proud owner for turning a silk purse into a sows ear. :blast

How to spend a heap of cash and spoil a bike!
Fecking Americans

Fitted a double usb socket to the RKS.
Surprised myself at how simple it was to unplug and remove tank.
Four bolts, fuel petcock, couple of plugs and cables to disconnect and it was off.
A few bits to remove to reveal the battery terminals and then fitted new cable and routed neatly to bars .
Just need to get some rubber to protect bars rather than duck tape.

Sorry but I’d rather get lost in the middle of nowhere with no battery power than have those horrible looking USB ports strapped to my handlebars. :(

Hardly.

The HD GPS holder is neat and just sits nicely on the left side handlebar with the wiring tucked nicely away.

Feel free to continue with your multiple Heath Robinson extension plug device. :D
