Hankering after a Harley

Whilst the seat is off stick some of that gorilla tape over the rear fender holes... stop a load of shite spraying under your seat.

So no consumer driven quality upgrade on the 2020 Touring Model rear fender then.

Like it or lump it... In true Harley fashion. :D

Fitted a double usb socket to the RKS.
Surprised myself at how simple it was to unplug and remove tank.
Four bolts, fuel petcock, couple of plugs and cables to disconnect and it was off.
A few bits to remove to reveal the battery terminals and then fitted new cable and routed neatly to bars .
Just need to get some rubber to protect bars rather than duck tape.

A truly hideous solution :D

I have a mount to get power in to the pannier, just haven’t plucked up the balls to drill the hole yet :doris

Why would you need a USB socket?

Why would you need a USB socket?

To power a phone to use for navigation.

I decided I didn’t need or want a sat nav mount permanently on the bike as 90% of my riding will be locally .But I’m planning a holiday with g/f in May in France so need some means of navigation and using my phone with Google maps using a Ram X Grip and claw is as good as any and removes in seconds when not in use.

I’ve tidied up the USB mount with a rubber backing and think it looks fine and quite inconspicuous, despite the close up :

Fitted the Le Pera seat. It’s a Maverick Daddy Long Legs :)
Designed to dit you back and give more leg room .

It’s certainly lower and narrower than the HD Tallboy

Much heavier too.

Not ridden yet but sitting on it after Tallboy it’s like it has very little padding but then from experience the best seats never seem that comfortable but then you can ride all day long and they never get uncomfortable. Time will tell .

Will you be carrying a pillion..? Maybe a QD Sissy Bar and rack would detract from the high rear seat....

Prefer the slimmer line of the LP seat ... I find it all day comfy on my Glide... can do the Pyrenees in a day from St Malo with no grief...

These bikes as road based long distance machines will beat a GS hands down IMO....

I did 820 miles in three days on that Street Glide in the US - fresh have as a daisy at the end..

That looks 100% better - finishes off the rear end - looks like it’s missing something without!!

I only removed if to swap seats :)

G/f loves the Tallboy pillion confort but the Le Pera is much heavier and reeks of quality so I’m hoping it’s comfy

I had the same daddy long legs on a night train for four years. Best seat i ever had.

:) I did 2600 miles in 60 hours on my Fat Bob and was almost as fresh as a daisy. At least, my arse didn't hurt. I had the Harley Sundowner seat on, which although being butt ugly is extremely comfortable....
