today I went to the gs to start up, and acrid smoke started coming out from under the petrol tank.
I have enclosed some pictures for your comments and advice.
The wires into the plug have melted and the round component was hot and bellowing the smoke

latest

so now I have parts of the alarm removed, and I need advice on how to get the left side of display working which shows fuel, and I used to hear the fuel pump click in, then it would start.
I have not removed the wiring yet that ran to the device.
I am stuck now

have you checked any fuses? My canbus bike has 2 real fuses and I think an alarm, if fitted, would be powered via this

update

I have some questions
what connects to the socket with 3 wires?
what connects to the single socket with a blue colour on the socket?
if I connect this wire to a black wire on the terminal block, I get a the light working on dashboard and it will turn over, but there is no fuel light / oil temperature light / and the fuel pump does not surge, so wont start

I think the green wire at 2 is part of the original bike loom which has been disconnected and fed to the alarm as the immobiliser circuit.

I take it that the wire at 3 runs to the alarm.

Does the black wire at 1 come from the alarm, if so it might just be a question of removing the black wire from the connector block and fitting the green wire 2 in it’s place. To get the bike to work.

Only an assumption as without seeing the bike close up with wire colour codes it’s not easy to work out

thanks, I will try in morning
any ideas how to get the fuel pump activated?

The fuel pump is triggered by the motronic ecu.

I suspect that part of the immobiliser is to reroute the green wire from the ignition switch through a relay in the alarm and then to the Kill switch.

Once the alarm is bypassed by connecting the green wire direct from the ignition switch to the kill switch. Then the motronic relay should be powered, this will power up your RID giving you fuel and temperature gauges and the fuel pump will prime.

After which the bike should start and run. I hope.

This part of the circuit diagram might help.
