Can you please point me towards a switched live source on a F700GS that I can easily attach a wire from an accessory i.e. location and cable colour?

Many thanks.

I used the number plate light wires for a switched supply for a Fuzeblock, sorry can't remember what colour the wire was.
You access the wire by removing the small plate in the rear wheel cover.
I am sure there are other sources but I found this to be easy to do!!

Under the pretend fuel tank cover in front of the rider there is a canbus enabled connector - it sits in a moulding on top of the battery retainer. BM sell a wired connector for it . . . . or you could ask if someones got an un-used one sitting about . . . . . or try e-bay!

I use mine to power my GPS, but you could use it to energise a relay then take power from the battery via the relay.

Yep, there's one just here (see photo). Didn't need to cut any part of the original wiring to get a switched aux circuit on my F800gs.

If you want to pick up a feed from a wire on the bike you can always use a positap, very easy to use just get the correct size for gauge of wire (lots on ebay).
