GoPro Hero 7 Help - external mic adaptor

I'd like to use a wireless external mic on my hero 7. Unfortunately I cannot find the GoPro adaptor in stock anywhere.

I need the adaptor for Monday so looking for somewhere in Gloucestershire I can get one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Ive ordered one off Amazon with a three month delivery time :blast

Not sure it will ever arrive or why they are not more available :nenau

It is almost impossible to find it in stock at the moment.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Record audio separately and mix it later?

That is way way complicated for my understanding of all things go pro.

Just as an update. I can't find anything other than using the GoPro adaptor so I've ordered one from GoPro at £49.99. it'll hopefully arrive at some point this coming week.

I bought one of these, as i couldn’t source the official one, just to try, and it worked well

Did it work with a go pro - if so which one?

go pro 5 and above need to have an adapter with a d/a converter built in

This is interesting, would bee good to know if that worked with the later go pros using USB-C.

I have used it with go pro 5 session and the hero 7 all USB C

Was amazed it worked so well for something that cost so little
