Anyone have some tips for cleaning spoked wheels made from unobtanium (Gold)

Chemicals, solutions, gadgets or kit.

Or is there no substitute for grovelling around on the floor with an rag ?

Good wash with hot soapy water then dry off a spray a liberal coat of ACF on it and then forget it, topping acf up now and again. Don’t bother washing them again. Unless your someone who must have everything gleaming all the time.

Just make sure you keep the ACF 50 away from tyres and brake components.

I use PH neutral wheel cleaners, anything acid or alkali based will damage the anodising unless you are extremely careful and dilute it well. I am currently using Sonax Full Effect or Valet pro Bilberry Wheel cleaner. The Sonax is expensive but the results, especially on the car are fantastic. I dilute the Bilberry Cleaner right down and use on the engine, suspension and shaft drive as well. Excellent results.

I use these brushes on my car and bikes. They are not cheap but excellent results from a very soft brush

I use these, the white brushes are kind to the finish on your wheels but remove the grime well. Also the extension piece has an outer sleeve that doesn't revolve so you can hold it for better control.
10 mins with hot soapy water is more than enough for both wheels.

Can be a rookie mistake as that shit goes everywhere , also a little goes a long way so no need to liberal spray the shit , use a soaked rag and a decorators detail brush and take your time.

Also , just keep the bike washed , dried and clean.
