Has anyone developed a fix for the rear light of the early r1200gs bikes

Im blowing bulbs ever down pour .

It seams to be water and road dirt getting into the bulb housing and causing all sorts of electrical gremlins.

if it has a rubber seal,

go and grab some seek and seal from your local motor factors, and run it round the seal

failing that, some glazing silicone behind the seal

make sure you dont overload it, or you wont get the lens off easily

Ah yes, the self-draining rear light.... there is a hole in the old ones which let mine fill with sand in KSA. New one is very neat, led. Not sure what it would do to the lampf alarm on an older bike..

It gets in from the back. You should see the corrosion some of them have on the exposed bulb holders. Stupid design. I replaced mine a few years ago because of it.
