First proper run out on the Quota after speniding a fair bit of time setting up the engine
When i got it it ran terrible :bow...But a bit of time and effort has paid off
She now rides great...Loads of character and surprisingly nimble
A fair bit more to do yet but overall i realy like it :thumb2

Glad you're enjoying it Garry. See you have swapped the can back to original.

I’ve always fancied one of these and was very close to making an offer on this one......

Glad you’re happy with it and please keep in touch with how you get on with it :thumb2

Lovely thing, always wanted one but couldn’t find a decent one.

Thanks for the replies
To be fair it's not that tall. I can flat foot it and i am only a 30" inside leg

I replaced the silencer because the Akrapovic end can had fell apart inside :blast...Plus i like the look of the original
Whoever had set the bike up had made a right hash of it Dave. :bow
You would not believe how much better it runs now Dave since i have set it up properly and replaced a few bits
To be fair for a 20 year old bike the condition is very very good and i am glad i bought it
Reminds me a little bit of my old Air head...But very different :clap
The tinkering continues will let you know how it goes :thumb

Glad you felt it was worth buying. It is in very good condition.
Sorry it wasn't running as good as it could of been..to me it felt fine..but then I have nothing to compare it against.
My new V50 seems ok to me!

Hi no need to be sorry Dave it's a second hand 20 year old bike and a bloody good one at that :beerjug:
If you rode it again now you would see how it could/should have run :D
The Quota has a very tricky to set up fuel injection system that's a one off...( i am a expert now ;) )

The V50 look great and carbs too so easy to setup :thumb2

Runs fine as it is...so very happy with it at the mo. Time will tell.

Nice bike. :thumb

For those mentioning a Quota being too tall for them, did they only ever try the very first 1000cc version?
The Quota 1000 was the "too tall"one for many.
The Quota 1100 was a fair bit more manageable.
