Following on from many successful trips around Iceland during the month of July I've decided to run them in August for 2020.

Two reasons.
First, my son's getting married in July so that's out :)

Second, I feel we'll get better light in the evenings and early morning......not that it's too shabby in July :okay

As in previous years there can be two trips with varying routes depending on what you'd like.

For example:

Trip 1. Exploring the interior's highlands and including the West Fjords.

Trip 2. Concentrating around the stunning West Fjords with a little of the highlands interior.

Both trips are suitable for all types of adventure bike although naturally bigger machines ie. GS's are more suitable for less technical riding which can be found in Trip 2.

Once again we will be camping in some wonderful and occasionally wild locations.

Although I didn't get around to writing a Ride Report for the 2019 2nd trip I can add photos here a bit later and for information it's worth reading some of the previous RRs :beerjug:

For 2020 I'll push to bring the costs down a little with the shipping company.

PM me for full information me if this adventure is for you!

I will of course add more info here in due course :thumb

I’ll have to watch this thread closely but having already booked a fortnight away in July I might struggle getting time off.

Much as I would like to I will resist the temptation and not go to Iceland with you in 2020. (Got rid of the CCM so that I wouldn't be tempted).

BTW I don't want you lot having such a good time as we did in 2017, 2018 and 2019.:green gri

Tim - have sent you a message on WhatsApp. :)

Tim, how will Trip 2 be 2 up? My wife and partner in crime would like to come too.

Trip 2 will be perfectly ok with a pillion and any sections or excursions you may not be happy with I'll always have a suitable alternative.

Go for it Tom - you are only equaling my record of three successive years (2016,2017 & 2018) - you definitely need one more trip!

Places are filling up so if you're interested in either of these trips PM and I can get more details to you.

This may help for now.

Trip 1 starts 29th July finishing 2 weeks later.

Trip 2 starts 14th August finishing 24th or 25th Aug.

Thanks for the info Tim.
Definatley want to come.
I'm assuming it would be best to arrive on Thurs the 13th and plan to leave on weds the 26th for the second trip. Sounds good to me if so.
I'll contact you soon but put my name down for the second trip.

Most would arrive in Iceland around 0830 on Fri 14th and it's normally around midday when we get riding. Yes some have arrived a day early which gives opportunity to set off without that very early morning start.
I'll get the final day's riding date to you shortly and you'll need to fly home the following day due to morning flight times.
Any questions you have my number.

That's cool then. There's a flight from Luton arriving at around 08.30 on the Friday. Perfect

Still a few places available for anyone who fancies something a little different :beerjug:

Hi there, what is the rough price for this please? Including bike tranfer/ flights etc. Thanks.

Trip 1 is now full.:beerjug:

Still room on Trip 2 which starts 14th August for 10 days and is suitable for all big adventure type bikes.

This is the ride which focuses mainly in the stunning West Fjords and will include an easy route crossing central Iceland with NO big river crossings (unless anyone wants me to take them a different way).

Flying back on Tuesday. I would like to get my flights booked.
Cheers
Garry
