Has anyone bought and fitted clear protective film to the top of the panniers on their R1200RT LC. If you have that model you will know how often you touch the pannier lid with your boot when getting on the bike. Im looking for something that is cut to shape.

I fitted these from NN can be a bit tricky but keep em warm and use a bit of soapy water and jobs a gud un They do the job especially when my little legged Mrs is getting off the bike and drags her boot across the top of the pannier.

Shit,,Just noticed there out of stock ,, but thats the stuff to go for

You could try invisible patterns.co.uk or venturashield.co.uk got the kit for my 13 from them which included panniers. No harm in making a call

Another vote for 3M Ventureshield, although I had the whole bike done.
I think it must be "creaky limbs with old age" syndrome but I do seem to catch the lids more than I used to.

I recently had a car done by Jarrod @ Bodyguard, he's a true master at ppf and uses Suntek, it's much better quality.

I'm slightly OCD and have fitted ventureshield myself for many years so to get someone else to do the job means they have to be exceptional and Jarrod certainly is very anal.

It was definitely 3M when he did my last bike, which I concede was nearly 4 years ago, but he may well have chosen a different film to work with since. He's done a total of six bikes for me over the years, & always a pleasure to watch him work, & also to see some of the cars in for detailing.
