I think it was one of Ash's posts, within which he mentioned a really useful jack stand.

I had been struggling to change il Bastardo's tyres and do other bits of wheel maintenance - getting both wheels off the ground, securely, had proved to be a problem. (The underside of the crank case of a Monster is very uneven and does not lend itself to a normal flat platform lift).

But for less than £50, the Ash stand has sorted me out brilliantly.

So thank you Ash... I think!

Stand

Now that’s all good and well but WHATS it called your magic stand.....I do like it and it looks really useful.....want one.
Where can one purchase this useful tool ??:aidan

He be a nice bloke, that Ash chap :thumb

What's not immediately obvious from the ad is that the 'saddles' rotate to fit whatever's a suitable lifting point under your bike, and they also adjust in height. My bike's very unorthodox underneath but this stand had the flexibility to fit nicely.

Those jack things are very useful. I first saw one round at Pikey Dave's and went straight home and bought one. In those days they were only UK made AFAIK and a sight more than fifty quid!

This however just looks fucking dangerous.
