Location of the diagnostic connector: 1995-2003 Oilhead boxers?

Hi Guys!

I'm doing a major overhaul of the Hex GS-911 user's manual.
Part of the new manual is a comprehensive table that shows the locations of diagnostic plugs on every BMW that GS-911s are compatible with.

Please can someone help out with the location of the diagnostic plug on all the following 1995-2003 Oilhead boxer models:
R850R
R850RT
R850GS
R1100R
R1100RS
R1100RT
R1100GS
R1100S
R1150R / Rockster
R1150RS
R1150RT
R1150GS / GS Adventure
R1200C and derivatives

Indebted to anyone who can help with reliable info. Double points if you post a picture of the diagnostic plug in its natural habitat.

1150 models, on the airbox except for the RT which is located in the cubby hole in the tailpieice.

The 1100 models have the flat three pin diagnostic plug attached to a blue plastic holder , usually stuck to the rear mudguard under the seat.

For R1150GS bikes with the OEM BMW DWA 5.1 Alarm fitted the diagnostic plug is located on the alarm adapter plate (still sat on top of the airbox cover) :

OBD Tool Scanner.

Sorry to maybe hi-jack the thread, but what OBD tool/scanner is everyone using to check codes on their BMW?

Any advice out there ?

Most of us use the Hex GS-911. Check it out at https://www.hexinnovate.com/.
Beware of Chinese clones - if you buy second-hand, make sure you're getting the real thing.

If you have to work on any BMW made in or after 2013, don't buy a 1st-generation (yellow body) GS-911. They cannot support K-001 chassis BMWs.
Make sure you get a 2nd-generation (red body).

You can't use 'generic' fault-code scanners on BMW motorcycles - the code they use is proprietary and unique.
