Since the recent update to both OSX and Basecamp I've noticed that the map fonts are now a Times Roman variation rather than the previous Verdana, Arial type fonts and seem smaller.

I'm using a 27" iMac with 5K display on Catalina 10.15.2 and Basecamp v4.8.7

Anyone else noticed these changes or is it an age thing?

No. I've been through every menu and can't find anything to change the font.

I run Windows on dual boot on the iMac so might load Basecamp on that partition and see what it looks like.

No. You might have some problems with your font files (font corruption).
Sometimes it happens.

Is everything ok (looks the same) in the other applications?
Do you use a Font Manager by any chance?
Can you type, try in textedit, correctly with Sans Serif typefaces (Verdana, Helvetica)?

One quick thing to do is use Disk Utility and run the first aid on your HD. Sometimes it might be some simple file permissions errors, that first aid will normally fix.

Ah! Sorry, I read it the other way round.

Ignore it. Garmin is, let’s say, less than optimal with their software development/releases.
There are some discrepancies between the Garmin Basecamp version you obtain on the App Store and the one you can download from their site directly. It might be that.
