As the title says... im upgrading my Forensic Machine internally to speed it up a tad... been looking for 4x 16gb or at least up to 32gb ... currently (much to my surprise) Im running 2x 4gb....

Mainly used for reviewing and producing video compilations... all SSD hard drives installed ... but noticed some lag... machine is 6 year old

Cheers in advance

Dusty

Yep thats the processor go to the mainboard and memory page for details there.

Their website states max 32GB over 4 slots of either of the following speeds 1066/1333/1600/1866*/2000*/2133*(OC), 2200*/2400*/2600*/2667*/2800*(OC, 22nm CPU required)

Crucial offer the following but as usual it doesn't come cheap so Id suggest 2x8GB simms put in slot 1 & 3 and your present 2 x 4GB simms in slots 2 & 4

Ebuyer has a few different offering if you want to try another manufacturer

Crucial have a 'scanner' tool which will examine your computer and recommend compatible memory. Click on 'upgrade my device'.

This will give you the required RAM spec, which you may then purchase elsewhere if you wish.

I think I’ve got 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM at home (4x8GB) if it’s any use, I can check tonight when I’m back.
