Greetings to everyone here - first main post so thought I’d introduce myself. Having road toured Ireland and parts of the UK on my dads old R850R and rented an F800 to take me from Sydney to Cairns, I finally plucked up the courage (& funds) for a well kept 1150 from 2003 recently. Completed level 1 and Adventure Travel with the Off Road Skills team in Wales - very highly recommended.
The aim is to take the Mrs (it was her idea!) and camping gear across Europe and out beyond Turkey, across the Caspian and tour the West Asia magnificence of the Stahns, before circling back up through Russia and back through Northern Europe.
I certainly have questions and am after experienced advice, but I’ll do a search and post in various sub forums for that in the near future.
