Hi All,

Other than having my Akro nicked, my experience on the F850 has been rather good so far.

I have one main niggle with it... It seems to be really slow off the line. After a second or so it goes like the clappers but just that starting bit seems super sluggish. My bike is 90% for commuting, it does a good job filtering etc but the stop starting is tiresome.

I'm coming from a Kawasaki Versys 650 so maybe that bike was just really good at going.

For now I throttle up and dump it into the clutch to move away faster and that seems to be fine but it's a lot of work.

Any recommendations? I've set it to dynamic and that does help.

I commute on my F750GS and I reckon the clutch disengagement is a bit funny off the line. The gearing seems shorter than the F700/800GS so maybe it just needs a good twist to get going. The traffic light Grand Prix just knackers your chain anyway!

I have the f850 sport and I’ve never felt that it’s slow anywhere. Comparable with my f800GSA. I’ve never used a stopwatch nor do I intend to. JJH
