I'm not going to show myself up with chaps (not after the last time), but wanted to share my new (to me) steed.

I don't really do chrome, and I got this for a bargain from fleabay earlier this week...

I quite like that ... :thumb2

I'll lend him my work cap for when he parks up and gets off ..... :D

You'll have to give me a few days to grow a tache.
Does it come with a small detachable chain on the peak?

No, but it does have the traditional black rain cover on it .... !

That’s really nice.
Loose the air filter cover, derby cover and cam cover.

Hope it wasn’t too cheap, as I will be kicking myself for missing it.

Black?....thought you were traffic, so the cover should be white....or is that just in the Met?
White cap cover always meant that you were screwed if you tried to get away with anything mechanical.....

Nice looking bike OP....

I know little about Harleys, but I like the simplicity of the dash, the classic panniers, the single seat, the bars... just the general shape of it looks really good to me.

I hope you really enjoy it.

PS Is it my imagination, or do people seem to hang on to Harleys for much longer than other bikes?

I'm sure I remember looking at that very bike on ebay a couple of months back & thinking it looked nice; twas in Leicestershire IIRC, new carbs V&H & nicely updated.

Enjoy - possibly, although salt spreading most nights around here means my EG stays in the garage. I guess it's better than being under water.
