Looking for recommendations for a really good 2 piece waterproof over suit.

Got the BMW one it leaks terrible.

Had the Scott neoprene one but it's really short legged and I'm a bit tall at 6ft2 for most stuff I've tried. Why the hell do they make waterproof pants so short???

Anyone tall have any decent gear?

Cheers!

I have the enduroguard jacket and trousers. They are excellent - and likely to be for sale soon. Not because there’s anything wrong with them I might add!

Thanks but looking for an oversuit (waterproofs).

Surprised about the BMW rain suit; are you sure it's leaking & not condensation from the honest sweat of a hard days ride? My BMW Rainlock 2 jacket has been brilliant &, before you ask, yes it has seen some serious rain, day after day relentless h2o on occasions. Now 6 years old, so the cost starts to look justifiable.

For over-trousers, I use Aldi's finest, after burning a hole in other more expensive brands twice on my Electraglide exhaust. They are lightweight, pack well, fit tighter than most against my leathers & have proven themselves waterproof over several years. IIRC they come in at c£10 a pair & usually appear as special deals each spring - they do biking, trekking & golf style; all pretty similar. You are a couple of inches taller than me, but it's easy enough to check for length in store.

As long as you don't mind looking like Corporal Clegg you really can't beat army Gortex over jacket and trousers for price and quality/efficacy; from all good army surplus stores.

Having said that I also have the older version of this Klim over jacket for those days when you don't want to look like Corporal Clegg which is just brilliant (but not cheap)

Thx for the reply. I thought at first just condensation but it's so much it can't be. My arse, crotch and chest mainly are soaking. It's a rain lock 2 piece suit.

Cheers I'll look into them.

For a jacket I think the Rainlock2 over jacket is hard to beat. I have had mine several years, never leaked, nice big cuffs to go over gloves, hood if you want under a helmet or just when walking about. The Rainlock trousers are, well, absolutely pants. I have had two pairs and both leaked in the crotch despite applications of seam sealer everywhere that they could leak from. Also they are not that nice to wear and generally I can never wait to get them off.

My son has a pair of Scott Ergo Pro overtrousers issued by NZ post office when he worked there. I have been borrowing them. Fan-bloody-tastic. Easy on-off, light, slightly stretchy so no flap and dead comfy. High waist so no drafts or leaks at jacket/trouser interface. I have just ordered myself my own pair.

So, Rainlock jacket and Scott Ergo Pro trousers together make the perfect suit for me.

The ergo is the very best but not long enough. How tall are you? I had to sell mine on here as to short when riding.
You're probably right re the jacket maybe top just got water in The collar or something problem mainly the pants in the crotch area.

I have an RST waterproof over jacket that was about £25. Cut to fit over my textile jacket it has a high collar so the rain can’t get in and it proved itself in three days of horrendous weather in South America last year. There are over trousers to go with the jacket equally cheaply priced.

I am 6’2”. 34” ish inside leg. Son’s Scott trousers are 2XL which is what I have ordered. Leg length is fine for me but boots are taller than ankle boots.
