'Rally' screen for 1190 Adv's

I didn't know I needed a new screen for my 1190R but I've just seen this and am rather taken with it. I like the fact it's an upright rally screen but retains the standard lights set up

Made by Solid Motor, provisionally priced at E155 (+tax and shipping) and to be sold through Specialthings (MST) in Italy

I already have a MRA/laminar lip screen for winter M-Way bashing but generally prefer the R's small smoked screen as, TBH, I'm no fan of screens 'cos they all look shite (so not dissing your Madstad screen).

The thing I like about the Solid Motor screen is purely based on its 'rally' look which I like a lot. Usually to get the look you need to also buy a bling light set up as well and that's something I don't want to do....... I'm tempted to get one based purely on it's looks, not its efficacy....... form before function every time

Go for it. I wasn’t sure how the rally screen would be on my 501 and it works really well. I know there’s a big difference between what’s essentially a much lower powered rally replica and a big adventure bike but I don’t get any buffeting at 95mph which is the fastest I’ve had the 501 up to and that was obviously on a perfectly smooth private test road rather than a nasty little B road riding home from a Saturday morning breakfast.

I ordered one of these screens last week for my 1190, hoping its at least better than the KTM touring one.

I'll post pics once it arrives

Did you also go for the 'sort of integrated' headlight protector? I only ask as it doesn't look as if the screen will fit in conjunction with the protector I already have fitted and some of their photos show one fitted (1st one that I posted in the OP) but I can't find any mention of it on the web site?

I only ordered the screen for now. Missed the first batch but been told to expect shipping to start again next week some time. They have stated that it will fit with whatever headlight protector your already running. I emailed them last night around 11pm and the responded by 7am this morning with a very detailed response.
