What do you guys think?
Do I keep the new Rallye seat or stick with standard.
It is a black and white Rallye seat and rear rack. I have been offered if by a friend but can’t decide!
I like the clean lines of the new seat but, being 6’4 like the slightly higher seat height of the standard. It will be used without the pannier racks for the cleaner look.

Looks better without Rallye. If looking for a new seat might be worth looking at the GS Exclusive seats.

Half Of the BMW price at £330. So £165.

I am thinking that I may stick to my standard seat for the moment as I will be doing a lot of pillion carrying too and I don’t want her too close! I like the higher seat too.
Also think it suits the Adventure / Rallye models more than the standard GS.

I’m 6’4” as well and find the Rallye seat more comfortable so run it most of the time with the two part seats in a box in the garage for when I need to carry a pillion...

Looks like you have the front in the low position ? The owners manual for my 2017 Rallye says to have the rallye seat fitted the rear adjustment is to be set low and the front to be set high, probably because it's so long. Which actually makes it a little high for me at 5'9" so I use a 2 part seat most of the time. Did 6000 miles in 3 weeks on holiday so comfort-wise it's ok but I found the 2-piece is a little better for long trips when I fitted them for the next one.
Looks good on your bike though.

i think that looks great . I have the 1250 rallye with the raylle seat. I am 6ft, quite comfortable for me. I use it all the time except when i travel abroad. Find it easier to strap a bag to the std rear pillion pad.

That is interesting. I will try it again with the settings you suggest.
It is a quality seat at half price so don’t want to say no just yet..

I’m interested. 2nd dibs if the Rallye seat comes up for sale please....

Yes i would say you have the front of the rallye seat set low and it should be on high.

Just tried it on high at the front and much better.
I have decided however to stick with the standard seat for the moment as I will be doing a lot of pillion riding and too lazy to keep changing seats.

If you are a paid up member ..that’s £12 for a year , just click on his name in the left column and a box pops up were you send him a PM. Great seats , go for it

I will have the seat at £165. How can I message the seller?

Sorry but seat now sold.
I did try to contact you after your first post but as you were not a subscriber, I couldn’t.
Sold to second post.
