Just changed a vehicle mid term of a current insurance.

No charge they said.

I said that can't be right.

All the bikermates say that insurance companies are rip-off merchants.

I insisted that they charged me.

Could not get them to change their mind.

I had the same. Just notified them of my forthcoming change of vehicle and they said, "OK. We'll refund you £8.25"

Thieving bastards. I've a good mind not to cash the cheque, just to spite them.

Ah yes but they are not on any price comparison sites ..

I rang them for a quote when i changed my bike

3X more than my current insurer who are the AA

They royally screwed me over the value of my car when it was written off by a woman in a Nissan Navarra who was on her phone. They did at least give me a hire car - and then did me over again for damaging it (I didn't). Absolute bastards, wouldn't touch them with the very longest of bargepoles

Aviva are not on comparison sites either and found them good for house insurance.

You can always do your own comparison the old fashioned way.....with pen and paper
