Yes, I have done that before but was looking to see if any f you guys have visited these areas and could recommend somewhere as it is pot luck using the sites. I would rather spend our cash on biker like minded digs. Thanks for your reply.

Ischgl - not somewhere I like in summer; created for skiing/summer walking but lifts expensive; close to the Silvretta though (watch out for the lumber trucks using all the road on the Partenen side). You could try the Hotel Enzian, near the eastern edge of town at Landeck - very biker friendly .... www.hotel-enzian.com ; or if you want more of a Tirolean country affair, then try ..... www.weisseespitze.com, with a glacier run on the doorstep.

Zell - a good base for the GG, but a bit touristy. We stayed at Saalbach last time, www.sonnegg.at

Canazei - again very busy/touristy, but you could try the Gran Paradis at nearby Campitello di Fassa .... www.granparadis.com

Berchtesgarten - personally, I have only ever camped there, at the Koenigsee. However it's a pleasant ride from Saalbach, north via Lofer. Book if you want to do the Adlernest trip as it gets oversubscribed these days.

Lermoos - it's a ski village on the Fernpass (very busy in season) - not sure why you picked that one? Easily accessed from Landeck & huge choice at Garmisch-P or Fussen - these days we like historic Ottobeuren, near Memmingen & use the HG am Muehlbach via Booking.com.

Have a good trip.

You don’t say what sort of hotel you are after, only that it’s the so called ‘Biker friendly’ hotels (or ‘digs’, to use the vernacular) you are after. You could try:

https://www.tourenfahrer-hotels.de/en/hotels/

How does that work, mate? Easy....

Get the language from foreign into English

Select the country you want

Hotels will pop up....

Some of the points will have lots of hotels. Tap on the number and they will pop up, too....

See a point in about the right place? Great, tap on it again and the specific hotel will pop up....

Tap on it to get the details...

Still not sure? OK....

The hotel is in Bad Mitterndorf. It’s probably not the only one there, it’s just the one that has tied it up with the popular ‘biker hotels’ listed by Tourenfahrer. Put the town into a Google search and add the word ‘hotel’ too. Surf around in the 15 or so that pop up and select the one that sets your juices running the fastest.

Still want some more choice and be recommended other ‘biker friendly’ places? Try:

Yup, it’s in foreign by hey, you can get it in the Christian language, too. Here’s what Canazei throws up:

https://www.mein-tourenhotel.de/motorcycle_tour_overnight_at_hotel_savoia_am_pordoi_joch

Try: https://www.moho.info/en/ as well, as it’s not in foreign.

Job done...... all it requires is a bit of effort and a touch of imagination, not least as you’ll be able to imagine the sort of ‘Biker friendly digs’ you have in mind, much better than us. By the time you have done it once, the other five towns you have asked for will be a doddle. Failing that, wait for some bloke to tell you where to stay. That he likes to spend tuppence and get pissed each night with 30 blokes from Hamburg, you’ll discover only when you are there.

I stayed in Lienz, Canazei and Koenigsee in September and would recommend all 3 places I stayed at, can probably fish them out if you want.

At a guess, that is exactly what the bod is asking you for and to do.....

just down the road from Landeck is the border town of Nauders on the Reschenpass that goes into Italy and the Norbertshöhe that drops down into Switzerland

Family Ploner at https://www.hochland.at/ run a decent hotel with a garage and an excellent restaurant

I've stayed at the Enzian in Landeck and the Weisseespitze in the Kaunertal. Both are okay but it's the Hochland I have returned to.

Hochland looks a nice place. I'll try it in July as it's in the area we were planning to stay

I’m not sure what “biker like minded digs” look like, but I stopped in Gaschurn as it suited me after coming through Silvretta.

Like some others, I just use Booking dotcom to plan my stops. Normally dictated by my choice of route and distance each day.
