Hello Friends,

I have the offer of a couple of panniers but they are both locked and the owner does not have a key.

Is there a way to gain access to them? (No, please don't tell me to smash them).

Would a dealer have such a thing as a master key, for instance?

Any help and suggestions welcome.

Thanks. Rob.

Any competent locksmith will open them for relatively little money :nenau

A lot of BMW dealers will have a box of spare keys, that they have accumulated over the years. It would be worth a call to your local one, to see if they have such, and if you can try them in your locks. You have a good chance of one fitting.

If you do have a go at removing the locks without a key, the very furthest tumbler needs to be pull in towards the centre of the barrel. It is possible with a fine pick, and a hook to pull the barrel at the same time.

They can be picked fairly easily, a car locksmith would be first call,
Pity youre not closer i have picked a few,
