Get a soft cloth - and a rubber glove... soak the cloth in lube and gently rotate the rear wheel whilst embracing the chain on the lower run...
Do not do this with engine running.....

Got one of his pinkies too close to the rear sprocket one day, sprocket grabbed it and when it came out the top side it was minus the end
I bought this the other month.

Its a bit fiddly to get the applicator to sit correctly (because you have to bend the straw and its prone to pinging off the can), but once you've got it right, it worked very well
