Today meandered to the Green Welly - albeit at a fair pace . On arrival noticed fluid which seemed to be coming from the black canister thingy to the left of the rear spring. It didn't feel like oil or fuel. Roads were dry so not road spray. Does anyone know what the canister is and what the fluid could be ?

Charcoal canister, can be removed but there are a couple of things you need to do with the subsequent hoses, I removed mine alone with the flapper valve, makes no odds to performance or even sound but did it cause I could I guess.

Overfilled with fuel, and fubarred the charcoal canister..

Only fuel vapour should get to the charcoal cannister,

if as yours shows its running out, then the liklihood is the charcoal filter is dead and turned to mush,

Get rid, it's only for emissions reasons ;)

I doubt his is running out, it's a 20 plate but as you say, get rid.

*EDIT* I didn't even read the initial post til now, just looked at the pic, get it back to the dealers if there is an issue with it, it's weeks old.
