I'm looking at purchasing a AT DCT 2019. When I fit a sat nav I do prefer having it at 'eye level' as in above the instrument panel display. I can see that there is a bar that goes across the instrument panel but I'm sure that I remember reading that this is not strong enough to support a GPS and caused the bar to crack..

Was there a modification and / or does anyone know what the solution was?

Sorry if this has been covered before (I did try to search but couldn't find anything).

Yes, the vibration thorough the base of the nav mount where it attaches to the horizontal bar above the instrument panel can transfer to the metal support behind the headlight causing a fracture of sorts. There are aftermarket frames that fit around the panel to which the nav is mounted, one of the most proven is as follows. This is for the 2016-17 model, but the set up seems the same on the 2018-19 bikes as per the 3rd link.

On my 2017 DCT I've fitted a strengthening brace, a European Facebook seller called Vlad fabricates them, around £50 ish.. Very neat and tidy.

I crashed heavily off-road and smashed my windscreen, but the Vlad brace kept my GPS unit safe.
