Bars of France

Laruns was mentioned by Giles
I was sitting in one of the bars there minding my own business when a happy couple appeared in matching tshirts. I said to my wife, if I have any more beer I'll be over there taking their photo and chatting to them
So, I went and asked it I could take their photo, they were very pleased.
I said how nice, since he was 20 and she was 7?
They said I was wrong and bad.

As Wapping said. Far too many 'ooh look where I have been' and 'aren't I a foodie' photos. Let's keep it real.......

I think you will find that the second photo was (accidentally) perfectly framed with the bikes in the background. We called that tour the TT, T (Two Tracies and a Tractor).

Excellent.

What appears to be dressed partly in waterproofs, sat outside, crammed around a small table.

Just what motorcycling is all about.

That, absolutely, is the place, nice one :) And yes, if you can find out where it was that'd be fab, I'd love to go back one day.

Here you go, on the HU 631 near Fanlo

Marvellous, thank you very much :)

We were talking about this last night and planning a trip on the outfit next year to grab a cold beer there; I know where I'm going now!

Edit: It looks like you can stay there too, even better :thumb2

Just keeping it real :beerjug:

Indeed and just as it should be.

There are two aims when stopping at cafes, either:

A. Disrobe and take up as much space as possible with jackets, helmets, tank bags, gloves, buffs and all the other accoutrements of riding around on the stupid machine, much to the inconvenience of the wider public

B. Cram into as small a space as possible, usually outside, in real danger of tipping into the road. Yet still suffering the wrath of some ancient woman, pushing her shopping trolley, who demands that everyone moves

Happy days.

Don't forget permanently damaging the fragile plastic chair whilst perched on it in full armour and textiles weighed down by rain water whilst shivering and being glad to be alive.

Don't worry. come the evening I shall be somewhere nice with some posh nosh.

As ChasMill will testify, my crown jewels were nearly chopped away, when a plastic chair split at the excellent cafe at Cap Gris Nez

Apologies, it’s sunny
