Like a lot of folk I suppose, clearing out cupboards and boxes.
Too many CDs. Too many old photos pre digital age.
This one is from my one and only overnight stay with Beemer club.
June 1987 at Ullapool.
My then recently rebuilt R75/5 let me down shortly after this photo when a RH rocker broke near Inverness.
I removed the broken part, unscrewed the plug and rode the rest of the way home on a 375cc single.
Vibrated so much that the big chrome horn shook itself loose on the A9 near Aviemore. I had to walk back a bit to find it. Shame the face was a bit scratched. And what a racket it made.
Had to sell the bike soon after as 3 kids under 7 and a working wife meant an end to bike riding for quite some time.
ps - I’m the handsome young dude front row 2nd left with hair and a ‘tache in the Black Magic leathers. I shared a room the the Red suited, sashed gent in row 2. Graham I think his name was.
