I would like to connect a GPS (Garmin XP) to the Himalayan. I'd appreciate advice on the best route for the wiring.
If I find enough room, I will also connect a PDM 60 electronic fuse box. Not being very mechanically minded, simple noddy language appreciated. Cheers and stay safe

Take tank off, run wire up along rest of loom, wire it into diagnostic port using correct Sumitomo plug.
I've got BMW Nav V on the handlebars but left enough wire to make a bracket and mount it above the clocks. I did hack the wire from the GPS mount off and fitted a waterproof connector.

Can take a few pictures tomoz if that helps, going to tinker with my Himalayan while I've got two days off work.

Thanks. Pics would be great.
No way to wire this without removing the tank? Cheers

Not best angle but you can see where the loom runs under the tank.

Excelent. Thanks.
One more query please. Which ignition trigger did you use to connect it?
Or did you just connect the GPS directly to the battery?

If it helps, I am connecting a PDM60. It just about fits where the document holder is, after removing the cover. I have also seen it fitted where the tool 'bag' is, under the pillion seat.

I take the trigger wire on mine to the rear light feed just behind where your PDM60 box is.

You could also use the pilot/dip light in the headlamp as a trigger :nenau

Brilliant. Found it. Thanks all.
Now I just need to find a good place for the Denali SoundBomb. Cheers
