Most of you will know Ronno.

Dopey fucker fell down the stairs at home and did himself some serious damage.
Fractured skull and brain(?!) damage. Out of hosp now and convalescing at home with the sainted Christine looking after him.

Had vision and memory issues which appear to be behind him, regaining balance and mobility.

Raise a dram to his recovery (he can't) at your convenience.

He's not missing much just now that's for sure!

Thought you'd like to know.

Sorry to hear that and hope he mends quickly. Who's got a copy of the pic of him on the couch, wearing only a pickelhaube? That should cheer him up! That was possibly the funniest thread I've ever read on this site!

I was thinking just the same, one of the all time funniest threads on here from when the Scottish section was the SCOTTISH SECTION

Sadly, I can't find the picture (or the thread) but I have got one of Rab & Johnny rescuing him from hospital and bringing him home to Christine.......

Thanks for the kind messages gents. I'm not on here much these days although I still have my (mothballed) GS. I got a text from Andres just now which is how I knew that Gerry had mentioned my fall on here. Yip, a skull fracture running from my shattered eye socket to the top of my head and lucky to still be here according to the neurosurgeon. I'm hopeful of making a full recovery although that's expected to take a few months yet. Brain trauma has left me with constant dizziness and bad pins and needles in my hands and feet. Apparently this is common with my injuries. Ive no memory of the fall so have no idea what happened.

I'm now working in the whisky industry and on full pay during my sick leave so doubly fortunate there. It s the best job Ive ever had.

Funnily enough, I was on here last week to show someone the Floyd/GS Garcia thread that someone just mentioned above. I typed in Floyd Javi in search and a thread came up which Blackal then had a link to the original post. I had cropped my original photograph but at the time of posting, Floyd's avatar pic was the original photo so it can still be seen on Floyd's posts on the thread.

Ive not had a sniff of alcohol since my fall 7 weeks ago. Believe me, it's one of my first goals for when I'm fit again.
