I think it's a Douglas Mark4 given the swinging arm rear end. Cans obviously non-standard & do I detect an interesting humbrol paint-job.
 
I like that..... a decent paint job and it would look ace IMHO
 
Ok, thanks so far. I know nothing about Douglas at all. Can't see the swinging arm rear end unless it's a central mono shock and the fixing mounts on top of the cans is a give away that they are mounted down side up.

Torsion bar rear suspension apparently (as used on indispension trailers and Renault 4s!) and the front forks are ‘innovative’ as well.
 
Got to go with Douglas with it having Amal concentric on; don't know if they are the Mk11's.
