Been meaning to do this for a long time but always been stopped by the non standard shape of the handlebar.

It’s already been done, of course, but I’ve produced a strong mounting for use with RAM components for mounting a phone or camera.

Also uses my totally over engineered phone case but I’ve never been known for doing stuff that will ‘just do’ :)

Looks nice Mark. Could this system also be the basis of a Sat Nav mount on a F800GT? I know that's a problem looking for a fix!
 
Oh, I didn’t know there was a problem needing fixing (but I don’t have the bike).

What’s the issue out of interest?

Forgive my ignorance - does the model not come with the option to have it ‘prepared for satnav’ as our GS’s do?

I’m presuming you are looking for a mount for the BMW satnav then?
