Been looking at bloody eMtbs and on the cusp of buying one - if anywheres got any stock left after they’ve all been bought by ukgser. currently have a carbon Scott Genius and love the twin lok suspension adjust control, which is only available on Scott mtbs. As far as I can tell.

Can’t get a ride on a Scott eMtb at the moment - not anywhere bloody near me anyway, so anyone here running a Scott Full Susser eMtb ? What they like, good to ride, any problems etc ?

It’s a lot of cash to splash sight unseen, esp never having ridden an eMtb.

It is, after discussion with my mate today we're gonna hold off til we're at least back earning again, which is likely at best to be late summer. However, in saying that, we were out today and it was a slog and all I kept thinking hpw much easier it would've been on an ebike but you need to get a shot of one, doubt you'd be disappointed, don't think anyone on here who has one has said, nah, this is shite, I'm off back to my manual.

Just get on with it, and buy one. :rob

Was in another shop today, Cube dealer. Asked if I could be helped, ye, I'm interested in a Cube 140, within seconds he was trying to sell me a Trek rail 5 :blast

Told him that I smell a rat when I specifically ask for something then immediately you try and sell me something else. :blast they didn't have any Cubes

If I were in your position, I’d think outside the box. Order one online, but find a local independent specialist who can work on it, if you need him to.

As a result of my crash on Friday, I’ve found a bloke 5 minutes up the road that runs a bike servicing business from home. He’s got 30 years experience, and it turns out he’s Bosch certified, so can do any motor related warranty work, and work outside of warranty later. Charges less than the bike shops, and is honest. After my off, I was expecting a big bill, but all he had to do was replace the gear lever cable, adjust the stem settings, and reset the derailleur. Total cost was £25.

He also offers a bike building service, so if any customers buy a bike online, boxed, they can get it sent to him, and he’ll put it together for them, for around £40. I personally wouldn’t bother buying from a local dealer again, not with the discounts available online. Especially as the place I got mine have been less than helpful, when it comes to after sales support.

If there are guys like this in your area, you’d be much better off supporting this kind of business than a bike shop that tries to trick you into buying something you don’t want. ;)

The bike shop where I got my Cube from in Dereham 18 months ago were fantastic while I was in there ordering it and getting them to spec it up for me. After that they have been completely fucking useless. No time to do any jobs on it, always tell me ( and other customers) they are down on staff for whatever reason so can’t get the bike booked in etc..... Wankers.

After that I found a small independent bike shop in Wymondham who have been absolutely fantastic! :thumb2 They went out of their way when I asked if they could build me a set of road wheels for my Cube. The lad I was dealing with ( Nathan ) spent hours of his own time researching the best components that were the correct spec for the heavier and stronger Ebike. I will always go to them from now on. They even got my Ebike and downhill bike serviced quickly for me before I went down the Alps last year. Brilliant. :thumb2

A chap on the site I’m staying on tried my Ebike and went straight to them and ordered a £2k Giant Ebike purely on the recommendation I made. He’s well chuffed and so were the bike shop.
