HOTMAIL....and disappearing messages!

I thought I was going mad, had a couple of emails from swissair which I moved to a folder...which then never appeared in destination folder!

luckily the second time I had screen shot the message, so have a copy.

I have been through every folder on the account and they have gone!

So has anyone encountered this before and is there a fix or way of recovering them?

I may be paranoid, but as they relate to a claim for refund for air ticket that swiss air are doing their best not to pay back, I wonder if they put some sort of code in their message that makes it self delete after anyone attempts to move it!!!

I’m sure you can do a ‘recall’ on a Microsoft message but not a delete-on-demand.

However, using a PC (or Mac) you can look in to the Recoverable folder, see:

I’ve recovered stuff in the past, but I think there is a time limit before they’re lost forever...
And you cannot recover from a mobile browser.

Did you check your trash can?

thanks will look into that, altho weirdly the emails appear on the hotmail account when I access it via iphone!!
anyway they were not deleted, just vanished when moved from inbox to separate folder. I now have them back

A lot of my "lost" stuff seems to end up in the archives.
