HD addresses over supply of new and used motorcycles

Bikes were a poor mans transport, get you to work and out at the weekend, kids could afford them and afford the insurance, they could be tinkered with and improved for not much money, especially if you knew the right people.
They are now overpriced toys and ornaments for old men.

They were a poor mans transport here until the Model T arrived. Ever since then they've been a hobby which can be as expensive or inexpensive as you like. Currently from a new $30,000 Goldwing or Harley down to under $1,000 for a nice running Yamaha. And they don't even need much tinkering anymore.

The first aspect of a premium product is quality of product....Harley fail at this

The second is a fantastic warranty should anything go wrong....another Harley fail

The third is customer service....I’ve been waiting 6 months for a screen for my RKS, so that will be a fail again.

Harley can do whatever they want with production, unless they sort the above out, it will make no difference.
