As we seem to have a few bicycle riders on here I thought it might be an idea to get some input on my query regarding some new forks for my old specialized en14766 hardrock.

After taking it apart and surprised to see there is only one side of the forks with a spring I see there is lots of damage to the suspension legs and thought about replacing them, hence my question

The present set are 26" wheels 100mm width with a straight tube so not being ofay with push bike technicalities and not wanting to spend a fortune either for what is essentially a £200 secondhand bike several years ago I came across these are they suitable or suggest and alternative or have something suitable in your shed?

They come in both poploc and standard fitments by the look of it.

I had a set of those on a Genesis Mantle and they seemed ok, quite adjustable, though I’m not a dedicated off-roader.

Most new bikes that I know of only have 1 fork spring. My downhill bike certainly does and I only bought it 8 months ago.

It seemed rather a strange find after watching several youtube videos showing dual spring systems.

Rockshox are superb bits of kit. :thumb2
