Does the panel know (or can confirm one way or another) whether a set of Vario panniers from an R1200GS WC would fit an R1250GS ?

The vario panniers fitted to the Hexhead 04-13 identified by the Red locking tab in the centre of the pannier will fit any R1200 GS between MY04 & MY13*
* MY 13 was a change year to the LC so check before purchasing for that year
The GSA uses different panniers, so in theory no they wont fit a GSA, bit with the GS mounts fitted to a GSA MY04-MY13 they would fit
The panniers fitted to the LC models MY-13> will not fit earlier models
LC panniers have the red locking tab at the end of the pannier
I'm not sure if the vario's from a LC GS will fit a GSA ( again the GSA has metal frames fitted for different panniers)

I purchased a new set for a 2015 GS and also fit my 1250

I had to buy an adaptor plate when I went from 1200 to 1250 and took my Vatio's with me. Not sure if the 1200 already had the plate as I got it used, but it cost me another £90 or something to stick them on the 1250.
The Varios will fit the GSA if you remove be the metal frames and also fit the GS type pillion footrest hangers. The GS type have the lug sticking out to slot the bottom corner of the Vario pannier onto.

Mothership does like to charge. Top plate needs changing from new to except vario top box. Enjoy your new bike.
My understanding is that they wont as the exhaust is on the wrong side but a 1200LC will fit a 1250 if that helps

The part numbers are different.
Have a look at the realoem web site. You can check part numbers etc on there.
The top boxes are different also.
None of the 2004-2012 varios will fit the 2013-present GS LC models. They have different fastening mechanisms.
Yes I put my 2016 GS1200 Varios onto my 2020 GS1250 without an issue. All the same fitments.

Yes very nice, I have now bumot soft panniers, and think to go back to Vario topcase for big and small size advantage.
